Adventures in Seattle

As soon as Alex's belt test was completed, we drove to Gma and Grandpa's house in Federal Way. The we continued to Seattle to spend the day with Auntie Nichole. Our first stop of the day was the Pacific Science Center. The boys love to explore and push every button. The music room became quite a bit louder once they discovered it!After inspecting some Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, we discovered a docent holding one. Alex and Zachary bravely petted it.

Then they climbed on a caterpillar.
The butterflies in the butterfly garden were very friendly.

The Gemini Capsule was another favorite.
Even though it was wet and cold outside, we couldn't escape the water experiments.

Argh! A space alien!

Our next adventure was a ride on the monorail! Alex and Zachary were able to ride in the front seat, and the driver let them each have a turn honking the horn!

We headed up to the top of the Space Needle. On the ride up, it looked like we had found a break in the weather. Of course, once we were at the top, the wind picked up and blew in some more rain clouds. I think we walked around the outside deck once before the wind became too strong. Inside, the boys had fun with the interactive displays, and having a snack.

Auntie Nichole took us to a sushi place with a conveyor belt for the sushi treats. Alex and Zachary really enjoyed picking their dishes off of the belt!
