Tummy time

Zachary is a master of tummy time. This morning he was being a bit fussy, so I figured if he was going to cry, we may as well do some tummy time. As soon as I rolled him over, he was happy! Just look at this neck and head control!
He has also been enjoying watching his mobiles. He gets a big smile on his face and talks to the animals. Sometimes it almost seems like he is laughing at (with?) them, but I think he is still a little young for that. The photos don't do justice to his smiles, but this is a pretty good shot.

Zach - 1 month

Zachary had his 1 month birthday this past weekend. He and Alex both had their first official baths to celebrate. Alex has moved into the big tub - his splashing ability is amazing, but the move was delayed due to my pregnancy (too much bending) and trying to find a way to keep him from getting hurt on the fixtures. I found a cool tray for holding bath toys that I can put across the front of the tub to block the fixtures, and Alex can pick what toys he wants to play with. Zach's belly is finally completely cleared up, so it was time for a full fledged bath. I think he enjoyed it, he didn't cry at any rate.
Then we hit the farmer's market at Jack London Square. Alex loves to go to the markets and sample the wares, it is messy but yummy. We stopped in for some Korean bbq, and Alex is well on his way to mastering chopsticks. Hey - that means we have a family of 4 lunch success! Yay!

Alex's 18 month check up was today, and he is in the 90th percentile for height (seriously, where did that come from?) and 25th for weight. Better that ratio than the alternative. We weighed Zach, and he is a chunk! 11 pounds 6 1/2 ounces.
I had a bunch of photos and had a hard time choosing, so there is a new album on our kodak page. If you didn't get the viewing invite and would like to see them, let me know.

18 months ~ 3 weeks

Alex is 18 months old today! I told him I wanted to get a picture of my 18 months old boy and he ran to the big chair and then did grabby hands to hold Zach. He wouldn't sit still without Zach, so no solo shots today.
After dinner we went over to the softball field to run around. Alex found a tennis ball to play with, and we all played catch. When I missed the ball and told Alex to go get it, he came over to me and pushed on the back of my knees to have me go get it. Where does he come up with these ideas? Zach (who was riding) got tired of the park first, but all the walking and running definately wore Alex out too!
