My Last Day

...As a baby. Tomorrow I will be 1! We are going to fly to G & G Farrow's house for my birthday and to play and have fun.
G-ma says I'm a messy eater.... what does she mean?

Fan Fest

We went to the Oakland A's Fan Fest, because NP is such an A's fan. (not) Actually, it was fun. There were lots of vendor booths set up around the stadium and those giant blow up jungle jims for kids - bigger than Alex kids, but still.

Alex and Daddy waited in the bullpen to be called in to pitch.

And Alex was a hit sitting on the Raider's logo at midfield.

We had hoped to get a photo with Stomper, but he was strangely not in attendance. However, Thunder from the Golden State Warriors was on hand. Good thing Thunder and PP are having a good time!

Interesting

So, it appears that only 3 people are reading our blog. Either that or everyone else is so overwhelmed they don't know how to respond.

But for our die hard readers, here's a little update.

Alex has learned so much this week. As I was checking his baby book to see what needed to be filled in, I found the spot for "first clapped hands". 15 minutes later, he started to clap his hands!! Now he thinks it is really fun to clap, and knows exactly what he is doing.

He has started to "cruise" the furniture more too, even without being bribed with food! And lastly, he put all the skills together to "properly" play with Baby Tad. Before, he knew he needed to push the flashing button, but wasn't quite able to focus his finger to the right spot. He is having so much fun!

My little boy is growing up! (sniff sniff)

We thought it would be fun and interesting to post this big news here - now we'll find out if anyone is actually reading our blog.

Lemon Crop

Well, the big storms they were predicting for us have hit! This morning it poured and poured and the wind was truly amazing. Even our little patio, which is protected on all four sides was not safe. Fearing for Alex's lemon tree, Phil braved the downpour and picked a bumper crop of lemons. The plan was to lighten up the tree limbs so the whole thing wouldn't topple over in the wet ground.

Alex found the "perfect" lemon. It even had a perfectly shaped leaf on it - until Alex got his hands on it!

After Phil left for work, the wind seemed to intensify and the tent/canopy appeared to be in danger of flying away. I dug out some capris and a raincoat and went out to make the save. The tent almost escaped over the side wall. It was ripped out of my hands and went airborne for a second or two, but hit the wall and crashed down.
There is a lull in the storm now, and I'm happy to say that the lemon tree is still standing. The tent however has a broken leg and the patio is completely flooded. Maybe if you look closely you can see the puddle under the lemon bounty!
Hope you are all dry and cozy!
