Deck the Halls

Alex and Phil hung up the outside Christmas lights today while listening to the Raiders "play" football.

They did a really great job and the house looks so pretty at night. I'll post a picture of their final project after we finish taking the Thanksgiving decorations (pumpkins) down and add the crowning touch, Mr. Penguin!

Thanksgiving

Alex's class gave a little presentation before Thanksgiving lunch. Last year he mostly just stood there, but this year he was very involved with singing and seemed to enjoy himself. They decorated 4's and wrote what they were thankful for on them.

Once again we decided to forgo the big turkey dinner and spend the day in the City at Fisherman's Wharf. We found a very yummy dinner option.
Sushi!

I really like this picture of Alex, he looks like he is having so much fun!
And the boys had fun putting on a song and dance on the main stage.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Royalty

I bet you didn't know we had royalty living right here in Alameda.

All hail, King Zachary!

Cruising

We have been trying to find a bike for Alex for a while. It seems like everytime we go out to look, he either doesn't want to try any of them, or he only wants to try the tiny bikes. Finally today, he was in the perfect mood for bike shopping and here is what he picked out.The handle bar even makes a fun revving sound! He could hardly wait to get home from the store to try it out.

Our neighbor was excited for him too and was giving him pointers.

Banjo

Zachary thinks his guitar is a banjo. And he loves to play.

The runny nose is just a bonus!

Giraffe

The other day Zachary came running up to me and said "Mommy, look at me!" "Oh, you're doing the splits." "I'm a giraffe!"

On our last trip to the zoo, we saw the giraffe drinking from the moat. He had to do the splits to get his face into the water. What a smarty-pants.
