Wagon!

For his birthday, G & G Farrow gave Alex money to pick out a wagon. We settled on the Radio Flyer Odyssey. There are so many different configurations and it has seatbelts. It is so awesome! Alex loves riding in it, today he laughed and pointed out the sights during our entire walk.

Before & After

Before

I'm sure everyone is thinking "It's about time!" but we took Alex in for his first haircut today. He was a model client, there wasn't a tear or whine in the house! The whole salon was impressed. Of course, if you got to sit in a silver jeep to have your haircut, you'd be happy too. They even used the electric trimmer around his neck and ears. And of course we kept his little locks of flowing hair for all of posterity. He looks like such a little boy now!

Boys Day Out

While we were in Seattle, Alex had a nasty cold. Fortunately it didn't stop him from playing and having fun. Unfortunately, he gave it to me when we got home and it really hit me hard. Phil took Alex to a San Jose Stealth game so I could rest. I hear they had a lot of fun, and the day of rest definately helped me!

Snow Day

Alex's first snow experience will probably leave a lot to the imagination. But there really were snow flurries in Seattle. And, yes, Alex did notice them. Auntie Nichole took him out to enjoy the strange white stuff falling from the sky. I don't think the picture shows it...but like I said, imagine!

What, More Cake?

We had some friends over for cake. Yes, more cake. Alex also got to have a balloon bouquet, which he enjoyed more than I could have ever imagined. In fact, he spent all weekend dragging the big mylar balloon around with him and wouldn't fall asleep unless he was holding it. (we took it away once sleep came for safety)
Shall we just say that chocolate cake is a big hit...

Happy Birthday

Our flight to Seattle was quite uneventful...the best kind don't you agree? We had an extra seat for Alex and he sat in it with his seatbelt on and had snacks. G-ma has a little rocking horse that Alex took to as if he had been riding his whole life. It was strange how he just knew to shift his weight and make the horse rock. He really enjoyed all the new toys at G-ma & G-pa's house.

Alex also had his first taste of birthday cake. G-ma made ice cream cone cakes and Alex was very intent on digging the cake out of the cone. Eventually he did eat the cone too. I had a hard time getting any part of it away from him!
