Fleet Week

We took the ferry into San Francisco in the hopes that the whole area wouldn't be completely crowded and we could watch some of the air show. Our reward was perfect timing and location to watch the Snowbirds!



While we wanted to see the Blue Angels, we thought it would be wiser to catch an earlier ferry back. The earlier ferry is also the one that goes to Angel Island, placing us on the water during the Blue Angel time slot.

On the way to Angel Island, the Blue Angels flew right over us! Moments after that, the fog rolled in and we heard from the boat captain that the Blue Angels had to cancel their show. Our early departure turned out to be the very best choice, and, the ferry wasn't crowded.
