After a fun day at the Children's Museum, we continued South to Monterey. When Phil booked the hotel, we had the option of paying extra for an "obstructed ocean view" room. We declined. We did however splurge for the fancy hotel a block from the aquarium. We checked in, and discovered our room was in the other building, across the street. Check out the view.
Yep, that's the ocean, at no extra charge. And, right across from Grammy's favorite vacation restaurant. Our room even had a gas fireplace that we used a lot. The boys enjoyed watching the flames, and it kept us nice and toasty warm.
There was even a beautiful rainbow.
And a beautiful sunset.
We walked around
Cannery Row a bit and then tried to get the boys to sleep at a somewhat reasonable hour.
