Zoo Lights

The boys have been very excited about the lights this year, and Zoo Lights was a huge hit! It was a cold night for it again this year, but we learned from the past and made sure the boys had their hats and mittens on. No red hands on the rides this year! So even though he really wanted to see the lights, Alex also wanted to ride the train. (When doesn't he?) As we walked past each new light display, he would say "I want to ride the train" "The train is going" "I hear the train".
By the time we made it to the train, the line was very, very long. We timed one train cycle and realized we would be in line for at least another 1/2 hour, and it was already past bedtime. I was able to convince Alex that we would come back soon and ride the train for absolutely sure! And here is our lesson to learn for next year: Ride the Train First!!!
