Today was Alex's MRI. Hopefully his last. Alex got to wear a wonderful hospital bracelet, which he initially tried to take off, but forgot about after a while. In the recovery room, after waiting for him to wake up on his own for about 1/2 an hour, the nurse said we could talk to him to rouse him. I stroked his hair and said "Alex, are you ready to get up?" and his eyes sprung open. He reached up for Phil and said "halp" because he wanted to sit up. He then tried to rip the IV out. We went home with a list of things to watch for and cautions, the main one being to keep an eye on Alex for unsteadiness. You try to keep a 19 month old from running around the house! A quick trip to the highchair for lunch did the trick. All in all, Alex was a great patient and there were no complications with the test.
**We have preliminary results and everything is progressing as it should be. whew!
