Month of the Military Child

There was another fun festival on CGI. It has been fun watching the boys grow up with these fun days. They are able to participate more every time! Zachary was really excited to climb up the ladder and drive the boat. He didn't want to get out!
It was a little scary, but Alex picked up and held a bunny...all on his own. Zachary then tried to pick one up by its ears. Poor Bunny! But he was OK. After that, we let them hold them, but only after we picked them up.
Both boys loved the jumpy houses this time, and they did the little fishing game and won a packet of goldfish crackers. Oh, and Zachary played the bean bag game and made an amazing throw right into the hole for the win! Alex and Grandpa played an intense game of air hockey!

Warriors

It was Coast Guard Day at the Golden State Warriors game, and Zachary loves to play basketball, add in some discounted tickets and a few extras and you have a boys' day out!
The boys were able to sit courtside during warm-ups. I was worried that they might storm the court, but I heard that that didn't happen.
Here they are sizing themselves up with the pros. And I know they watched a bit of the game at least. Here's the view from their actual seats!

Hiking

The boys took Auntie hiking and to the Science Center. They didn't even get lost this time!Alex learned how to identify some of the flowers they saw in the woods too.

Busiest day ever

This morning we went to the airport to collect Auntie Nichole and then headed out to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito. The first Wednesday of the month is free, and it is spring break, so it was a mob scene. We did manage to find our friends though and although we didn't get to see any of the indoor displays (it's much more fun to play with trucks), everyone had fun and I think we'll definitely go back again.
Then that evening we went to the Mariners/As game. We had hoped to get in on the $2 ticket deal, but that was all sold out. The tickets we ended up getting were $12, but 6 of that was food vouchers. And since it was $1 hot dog night, that $6 went a long way! The sleepys hit about 1/2 way through the game, which was actually longer than I thought we'd last. At least the Mariners were winning when we left.
On the way home, Alex was cracking us up. "You know what? You know what? You know what? I don't know what I'm talking about. Auntie! Stop laughing. Auntie. I have to tell you something. I don't know what I'm talking about."

Happy Easter

These boys have such cheesy smiles! It must actually come from saying "cheeeeeeeese" whenever they see a camera.

We decided to go for a little hike. Unfortunately, our theory of being in the woods and insulated from the biting winds did not pan out. It rained, which wasn't a problem, but the wind really wasn't hindered by the trees. Alex made it the whole way, even up the very steep hill at the very end. Zachary was too chilled to walk towards the end, so he was snuggled up in Phil's arms.
Luckily we had a blanket in the car to cuddle up in on the drive home!

Not a Joke

Phil has succeeded in making both boys official sushi lovers. One mention of sushi and they both start shouting "sushi house!" On this particular visit, while we were waiting for our yummies, a man and his wife who had been sitting near us, stopped by as they were leaving to tell us "you have the most well behaved children ever". Thank you nice man!
